We've brokered a dataset of all 2,500-ish bike shops in the UK from the
Association of Cycle Traders (many thanks to them!), for the purposes of
merging this dataset into the OpenStreetMap database. It has postcode-level
accuracy only but that's a massive head-start.

I found one error today, where a shop moved some weeks ago. And it
doesn't seem to include Halfords.

I wish I'd realised that before heading off earlier. I mapped the
section of the street where the dot appeared, but checking the
business address when I got back I hadn't mapped far enough down the
street. I still suspect it

postcode' and 'nearest postcode' mean? Perhaps the first one is for the
allotment itself and the second is for a nearby street?

In fact any parenthesized stuff could be stripped, for example
'Gladstone Park Gardens (off Broadfield Close)' in the GLA list
becomes just 'Gladstone Park
