[Talk-GB] Land Registry INSPIRE data - 1 July OGL release

Hi all,

Looks like 1 July will be a big open data release day. Not only do we get
the USRN and UPRN data, but the land registry data will also be released:

Should we attempt to coordinate something to prevent a mixture of uses
across those OSMers who may want to do something with this date?

Was thinking that automatically selecting the first array element which 
will be highlighted in the display will solve it.

My belt and braces is to catch that exception and display a suitable 
error message ( should never occur)

select an entry, even if there is only one. I have covered for that now
in code, but I'm thinking it might be easier, if there is just one
entry, to automatically go for that one without the user having to
select it.

I get that also. In my case its caused by not selecting an entry in the 
table presented after the initial Search entry. I've reported this issue 
& Kai is aware.

Thanks for the praise, Tony,

yes, the plugin needs EITHER of addr:city, addr:street or addr:postcode (addr:housenumer will not be sufficient). If these are missing, the FHRS API will complain that the process might take too much CPU capacity, and thus will not return any result. This is why one of these is required.

From what I understand, Dave was asking for a why to locate _any_ estabishment in the vicinity that hasn't got an ID, but should. Let's see if this is doable :)

The fhrs:authority tag isn't normally necessary as it can be inferred
from the surrounding local authority boundary.

There are some exceptions to this, including premises where the food
hygiene authority is the City of London Corporation, but which are not
located within the City of London boundary. Some of these are presumably
on Port of London Authority land, e.g. the floating Good Hotel in Royal
Victoria Dock ( https://www.openstreetmap.org/way/523627051 ).

whilst doing the current week's Q session (https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Schwerpunkt_der_Woche/Overpass_Postcodes), where we check postcodes against their country's respective pattern I came across multiple object, that _had_ an fhrs:id but were missing the correct postcode (only the Outward code was tagged) - even more so the fhrs:authority information are missing in most objects I've come across so far.

So, yes, it's usefulness is restricted for objects with fhrs id but it's not complete useless :-)

   You could always take a look at the GitHub repository (
