Hi, I actually went and scouted out one of my local stores after the last post. It's called "Laura Ashley Home" and does furniture, fabrics etc. I never checked usage of shop=furnishings. In days gone by there were concessions selling similar wares

Hi I've been in several of their shops, have just looked at their website, and can see the tags below - -  I think that this is a lifestyle shop that sells all of those tagged bar fashion. Lifestyle tag  is only used 5 times but that word occurs frequently on their website. My 2nd choice is

You could generalise if the majority of stores fit the standard category, as individual shops can still be 'interior_decoration' if that is all that they do. A difficulty could be that editing apps suggest that it is 'incorrect' and needs updating. Some chains make it easier by having a sub-brand

Hi, I may be wrong, but I believe that there were some home (furniture) shops that didn’t sell clothing, and some years ago my family would reliably buy wallpaper from Laura Ashley which had the traditional Laura Ashley design on it. So that would seem to back up the “interior_decoration” tag.
