Interesting...
On the 'Wadi' Wiki page linked before and under one of the images...

Hi all-
Jumping on this thread.
I think it's worth to first distinguish between tagging (attribution -
attributes and values) and rendering.
Concerning the tagging aspect of the discussion how to describe a waterway
used for motorized traffic.
I think we have to consider a two ways approach: (i)
If there was a trigger (weather input) on the area map indicating 'Rainy
Season' the section would be closed as a road.
Wadi would be a good descriptor for the stream as it would not change as it
applies to both a wet and dry streambed.

I am not proposing having two ways in the same space anymore as I
see the logic presented but a new type of (single) way that would have
attributes for both.
Perhaps for the stretch where they join, could there be a combined
'road/stream' type of way that could provide continuity for both?

Hi,
New to the mailing list and hope I have something to offer...
I do not see why we cannot have two traces in the same place (or with a small
offset). Hopefully we will be able to identify the entrance and exit of the
'roadway'. I am sure that these 'roadways' would be seasonal.
Sometimes hi

In Haiti there seem to be a couple of river beds also used as roads. Jan
Tappenbeck and I talked about this issue last week, without a solution how
to handle this. We have found some places with vehicle traces in riverbeds

Can we do this on a waterway? Will it be understood by the Garmins in the
