Sounds great.

Andrei Kashcha has created some cool tools around OSM.

For example a tool to generate the road network for any location:
https://anvaka.github.io/city-roads/

That is pure OSM.

He also has a ridge plot map generator:
https://anvaka.github.io/peak-map/

Just OSM for the mapping, it uses MapBox elevation API for the plotting.
Still pretty cool.
