Hi, Am a newbie on this list ;=))
I recently noticed that quite a number of roads and creeks available in VMAP0 are NOT in OSM! Is there any reason why VMAP0, which I understand is public domain data, can not be added to OSM? Initially this would be around YGIL, NSW, Australia, since this is my old home town, so I know the roads very well... But I think it would apply to other regions, probably around the world... In fact, if using VMAP0 data is no problem, then I am quite surprised this has not already been done, since VMAP0 contains a wealth of information. Look forward to some feedback...
