Last Christmas day, Typhoon Nina made landfall and have caused damage to buildings and infrastructure, especially power lines, in Bicol Region and CALABARZON, yet, buildings in affected areas are still not mapped in many parts of the areas affected. While building mapping is continuing in Batangas, as part of DOST's Project NOAH (ISAIAH), other areas affected, like most of Quezon, Camarines Norte, Camarines Sur, and Catanduanaes have a few buildings mapped, as a result of lack of quality aerial imagery. Mapping important infrastructure, like buildings (especially houses), roads (especially roads leading to barangays), power lines, and important POI's may help in humanitarian response, especially if done before disaster strikes, like mapping done before Typhoon Ruby (Hagupit) in 2014, where Northern Samar, which was soon hit by the typhoon.
Are there any possibility of mapping areas affected by this recent typhoon?
