I think Alex' inquiry was meant the other way round. That is, governments using OSM data for whatever purpose. The example I'm most familiar with is TriMet in Portland, OR, which uses OSM as a basemap for their TripPlanner. [1] Are there other examples? [1]

mentioned this to alex earlier, but i believe trimet was also editing bike path data though not sure what came of that. the state dept uses OSM but i don't have a specific example in production by way of example. i think this is a good question. i'm continuing to research. best, alyssa. ps.

The perennial question, but it's been a little while that I asked :-) What examples of government using OSM are you aware of? This can be federal, state, county, city or government related contracted or volunteer services. Also, if you're a government employee and working with OSM yourself, I'd
