I thought I was the only blindy that doesn't mind the new facebook that much,
but I'm actually not. In many ways I prefer it. News feed is now not divided in
to headings so I very much like that, since you can skip it easily. Like others
have said, the fact that you can comment on statuses is also very good. Sure
it's not perfect and it would have been a bit better if there was more heading
navigation, but seriously, it's not as bad as people seem to make it out to be.
Like someone else said, many people just seem not to like change. Another tip
is if you are in the application, you can go to the first edit field, which is
search followed by the search link, after that you're basically in the main
part of the application pasts all the facebook links. There's very much doubt
that you will be able to get the old facebook back and to be totally honest
even if I had a choice, I very much doubt that I would want it.

Oh and while I remember, one interesting thing was that since the new facebook,
jaws couldn't at all see the preview screen when sending invites for the
application. So once you select your friends and click on send, there is a
preview that shows all the friends you have selected and what the message would
look like to them, then you have to click send again. Jaws didn't seem to be
bale to see this preview screen. Other screenreaders like window eyes or even
system access did. However, a couple of days ago, I can't remember which ap it
was, jaws did see it, so I don't quite understand what changed.

There was also a problem and maybe still is in the type of application when
selecting the friends you want to invite is done by checkboxes rather than
clicking on people's name as a link where once you check a checkbox for
someone's name, jaws would go to the top of the list of names and it would do
so every time you check the box. Again, couple of days ago that wasn't
happening, but I'm not sure if it is because facebook changed something or
something was different in a particular aps' setting.

Anyway, I'm kinda drifting off the main topic of this thread, but my main point
is that personally I think people exadurate about usability of the new style
facebook. Sure it's not perfect, but most things on there are definitely doable.

I havent bothered since I sort of like the new one. The profile page is a
bit nasty and deleting apps is a huge pain but doable, but as for the news feed
I like that its more chronological, and that you can comment on stuff now. the
comment system has been needed for a long time.

if you want something that's easier and quicker, you can go to m.facebook.com
in firefox, but you wont be able to access alot of the apps from that page.
