The Talk2 List This list is dead, dave!

I don't care if you lot have twitter, I don't. I want to vent my anger at the fact that a drive less than a year old is showing signs of behaving like a recalcitrant granny when it could be doing so many better things, like serving me my 409 gigs of data. Windows says, hard disk 4 D has a bad

Oops, I was wondering if that would happen. Heard some bad things about them Seagate FreeAgent 1tb drives... Glad I didn't get one. I did give you a 6 month timeline on that, didn't I? Onj wrote: I don't care if you lot have twitter, I don't. I want to vent my anger at the fact that a drive

Which drive is this, and is stuff backed up, or safely recoverable? If not, well, you could have a problem. AA large problem. About as problematic as if your potatoes growing legs and runing through the house like rats. Rodent potatoes? Wow. What an odd and scarey thought. - Original

But they'd be cute little darling potatoes if they did that, and, especially given they're not mine, that's just cute now isn't it? - Original Message - From: matthew cooper m.coo...@hampshiregoalball.com To: talk2 talk2@AndreLouis.COM Sent: Saturday, March 21, 2009 12:14 PM Subject:

Thank you for providing content for this list. I want a 1 tb drive, just not a broken 1. I heard its good to wait until the next size up is out before getting the thing you want. I don't know if that's the case or if that's just some sort of paranoia. - Original Message - From: Onj

Well in that case, you could get a 1.5 Tb drive if that theory is true. I want a 1 tb internal to replace my 320 TV drive. - Original Message - From: Derek Lane de...@pdaudio.net To: talk2 talk2@AndreLouis.COM Sent: Saturday, March 21, 2009 4:22 PM Subject: Re: The Talk2 List This list

Personally, I think you can take your potatoes, put them in an orange plastic box marked Deliver only to the leopard, and be done with them. As for the drive, well oopsy. Oopsy, and ooopsy. No more Seagate externals for you. My internal, on the other hand, is ticking along quite nicely

Drives are drives. They now all have issues, no matter from whom you get them. Far as I'm concerned, there is no such thing as a trustworthy hard drive. Keep backups, lots of them, no matter what you use. The exception; never, ever buy anything from LaCie, unless you want your data eaten,

I think that you should deliver the leopard to the butcher who will chop it up and give the meat to the mango coloured chimp called maple, disguised as a banana. Hopefully this chimp doesn't try to eat the butcher. - Original Message - From: Brandon Hicks hicks.brand...@gmail.com To:
