RE: The Talk2 List weather bad times

2008-05-07 Thread John Clower
Ah, that's the issue I've had for several months now. When doing a search
for weather stations, I come up with two results. The first is that station
which we all know and love and ideally gives us a complete forecast. That's
the one that doesn't seem to be appearing anymore in the contact list,
regardless of what version of Miranda you may be using. The second result
is the existing one that will show up in the list, but displays a similar
read-out as the one Patrick posted here. That's an issue I've had myself
since the beginning of the year. And me being the meteorologoholic that I
am, it's quite frustrating.

Well, I have a Miranda weather issue but not that one. The stations all show
up in the contact list, but everything is n/a. Here is my local forecast,
for example:
Feel-Like: N/A
Pressure: N/A
Wind: N/A
Humidity: N/A
Dew Point: N/A
Visibility: N/A

Sun Rise: N/A
Sun Set: N/A

5 Days Forecast:
  / %,
  / %,
  / %,
  / %,
  / %,

Really quite useless. Perhaps it's time to update that particular plugin?
The version I have is pretty old.

Re: The Talk2 List weather bad times

2008-05-07 Thread Patrick Perdue
Here's a bit of an update:

I got the latest Miranda weather plugin from the addons sight, which is
copyright 2002/2008, and a few more INI files that I didn't have before.
I can only get locations to come up in search through the weather.com
thingy, and it only shows my non-existent conditions as offline contacts
now. None of the other search INI's seem to do anything at all. I tried
Yahoo! weather, accuweather and weather underground.
So, if you look in your offline contacts, you'll probably see a bunch of N/A
weather for your location as well.

I figured that out real quick when I first heard it, and went log, as
it were.
Now, this is boring. w double-o f is stationed in Dothan, Alabama, on 560 AM
(sports) and 99.7 FM (adult contemporary).
The only cool thing to come out of this is that both stations are owned
by Woof, Inc. What a neat name for a potentially boring thingy. Highly
credible, and everything!

Is anyone having an issue where the Miranda weather plugin just seems to

Well, I have a Miranda weather issue but not that one. The stations all
show up in the contact list, but everything is n/a. Here is my local
forecast, for example:
Feel-Like: N/A
Pressure: N/A
Wind: N/A
Humidity: N/A
Dew Point: N/A
Visibility: N/A

Sun Rise: N/A
Sun Set: N/A

5 Days Forecast:
  / %,
  / %,
  / %,

Really quite useless. Perhaps it's time to update that particular plugin? The
version I have is pretty old.
