Who is SpeedDots?
SpeedDots.com, a California-based company, announces the official release
of the SpeedDots Screen Protector, a tactile approach to Apple's iPhone and
iPod Touch for those who are blind or have low vision, permitting easy
navigation and orientation to some of Apple's most popular touch-screen
devices. Using single dots to denote the virtual keyboard, along with a few
commonly-found buttons and controls, blind/low vision users can input
information more quickly and efficiently than ever before.
In escence, we provide screen protectors for your device with Braille-style
dots to enable you to type quicker and easier on your device, as for quite
a lot of blind people, typing on a flat surfice is very time-consuming and
annoyingly difficult.
SpeedDots tactile Screen-protector for iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPod touch 4th
Gen.
Each protector (including shipping) costs £6.50 in the UK, and €9.00 to
Mainland Europe.
In the United States, each protector costs $7.00.
A $3.00 shipping charge applies.
Two types of SpeedDots screen-protectors exist.
Standard: Our standard screen cover has a mark on every letter of the
keyboard with the exception of F, and j as
well as all of the standard iPhone controls. This layout is good for people
new to the iPhone or people
who do a lot of typing.
Advanced: Our Advanced screen cover Has markings on the letters F, and J,
as well as on all of the standard iPhone
controls. If your an advanced iPhone user, or you want a very clean and
simple layout, then the advanced
model is for you.
