Hi. The hot key, control-shift-alt- arrow key used to be the keys for changing
rate, volume and pitch on the fly. Now, it is a windows key for rotating the
screen. Screen rotation is only important to sighted folk.
The F8 key works when you copy from a website, but copying otherwise is done
If you want to change the volume and have it stay at that level, all the time,
open your control panel with control - backspace, go to screen, then voice.
Tab to volume and adjust the volume. Then tab to save settings and hit
enter. Then, the volume won't revert, when you re-boot.

Just wanted to say thanks again, for the Cap Enhance. I finally figured what I
was kdoing wrong. I had my Vocalizer voice set to maximum volume, so the cap
sound couldn't increase. I dropped it back to 7 and then could hear the volume
increase. I also use the cap beeper and they work fine

music I get a choice of music folders, including I-tunes. I tab to I-tunes
Media, then to music and I end up in my original library of songs. If I just
go into I-tunes from the desktop, I don't have luck finding

This is random behavior. Sometimes when I go to a site with Firefox, my voice
just quits and I have to reboot. Other times, in my Becky email program the
voice will quit and fooling around with the tab, I can get it to come back.
I'm using 9.1 and Windows 7. This is new behavior, since 9.1
When I send a message to the list, it never comes into my inbox. I have

Hi. I'm pretty challenged with this stuff, but here's what i do. I have
I-tunes downloaded. I import the CD into I-tunes by simply opening it and then
plugging in my CD. I tunes asksI wish to import it. Then I highlight the
album in my *I tunes library and hit the application key. this
I have noticed lately that Window Eyes takes al lot longer to come on, when I
boot up my computer. This is a change that is recent and it isn't my computer,
which is pretty fast at starrt up. Any reason for this?

Some of these aps don't show up in the control panel, unless the program is

I don't think it's due to misspelling. I found that it works only hit or miss.

I have been having loss of speech more frequently, with Becky email and W.E. I
was having to reboot, but today I exited Window euyes and switched to N.V.D.A.
I opened Becky email, then exited NVDA and switched back to W.E. The sound
came back. So this must be a Window Eyes issue.

I sometimes have this same lock up problem. Usually the control alt w will

Hi Chris. Becky question. When viewing folders, I could use the mouse keys to
focus on a folder's name and hear how many messages were in tjhe folder. I'v
done something, and now the mouse keys don't focus on the tree view of folders.

rate. After hitting control alt arrow, I believe you use the right arrow until
it says screen rat. If you want a permanent rate change, you need to go into
the control panel to screen and change the rate and save
I was in the same predictament, so I called G.W. and bought a new S.m.a. The
cost of this 9.2 upgrade is $49. But I bought the S.M.A. for $200, which
includes this upgrade and 2 more major upgrades. It will take a couple days,
before I can download the 9.2.

Just switched to I.E. as default browser, from Firefox. Nice to have mouse

Yesterday, I could download a book from the Bard site, in about a minute or
less. Today it took over ten minutes. Using Firefox and W.E. 9.2. Any ideas
why? I went to I.E., but couldn't figure how to watch the percentage, as there

This happens to me all the time. I hear Window Eyes say "custom control",
after I've been away from the computer for a while. I think it goes to the

I've been using Becky email, for a few years and really like it. It works well
with Window Eyes. It costs $40 and Chris Grabowski has done a ttorial on it.
There's a couple changes you make, when installing to allow it to work with
screenreaders. The updates are free.

Here are the two steps. Try these two steps. Make sure that Becky is off line.
That's done by going to the message menu and hitting the letter "o". Hope
