Microsoft will release Office 2016 as a free software package this year,
probably when Windows 10 is released. It would be wonderful if full support
for Office 2016 were available. Then everybody could avail themselves of

Prior to WE 9.2, the style of a paragraph was announced then the paragraph
read For example: Heading 3 dogs like cats In WE 9.2, the paragraph
style is read sometimes before and sometimes after the paragraph, and
sometimes not read at all. It's hard therefore to proofread for format.

I reported that, after the installation of WE 9.2, Word 2010 began to act
crazily. For instance, paragraph styles were spoken at odd times, before
reading a paragraph (as usual) or after reading a paragraph, or not at all.
It took me several days to track down the cause of this anomaly.

Occasionally in Word 2010, styles are read after their paragraphs instead of
before them. I correct this by reloading Window-Eyes via Ctrl + Alt + W; it
usually corrects the problem.
However, three times so far, a reload crashes the system and a continuous

I installed WE 9.2. Then I installed the latest factory settings for Office
2010.
Yu have the option to leave, replace, or merge dictionaries; I chose merge.
Then document text was read garbled. I went back and picked replace
instead, and document text read as expected.

As far as I know, there is no app needed. Mark Solomon of GW Micro dwent to
facebook.com and used Window-Eyes 9.2 with its built-in Web App Mode, aa
version of Browse Mode entered with a hot key. You need to go to the GW
Micro Webinar site and get the shorcu key chart for WE and for
Ocasionally, Window-eyes crashes while in Word 2010 when a Window-Eyes
restart is initiated via Ctrl+Alt+W. I issue that command when Window-Eyes
no longer reads styles correctly. A continuous high-pitched squeal is
emitted and a power off is needed to recover.

I restarted my laptop and received an error dialogue from Window-Eyes: It
said the my browse Mode was out of date and I should upgrade at AI
Squared.com.
I tried that, but couldn't download 9.1.00.
So I used the Upgrade feature in the help menu. It says that 9.1.00 already
installed in
to download WE entirely! I could be 100 per cent off base but... maybe
worth a try.

It sounds like a nice program. You should send the AI Squared support team
a link to it so they can look at it. Perhaps, the program does not have a
text cursor, only a mouse pointer, then you have a problem beyond control of
Window-Eyes. Let the support team take a look and advise you.

When returning from Sleep mode by opening the laptop lid, focus is misplaced.
The focus is on the Window-Eyes control Panel screen instead of the current
application window. Nothing is read of course; focus is regained by Alt
tabbing away from and back to the current application

Access the Start menu:
1. Press the Windows key
2. Press the Escape key

I just installed this update. There is a minor problem. After the download
completes, you are asked to allow Windows to install this program. You need to
activate the Yes button, but Window-Eyes does not speak the option, as it did
in the past; sighted help is necessary.

This update seems, for Windows 7, to break more things than it fixes.
For instance, while in Word 2010 or in Windows Explorer, speech output
sometimes ceases. An unload and reload of WE most of the times initializes
output, but occasionally it fails, and a system restart is required. No
