This was a bug of some old versions, but now if you cancel, the
.TMP files should not leave near the .TBB and .TBI.

I have amended good news about having the trouble with .tbb and .tbi
and .tmp indexing issues.
Since I last wrote (saying I'd done well with anti-spam turned off but
AV scanning and anti-spyware running), I again started to have
