Cannot confirm this - message go off the ticker as soon as they're

One possible hint on where the problem may reside. I have selected to
'Browse Deleted Messages' on my Inbox and the 'Deleted Messages - Folder
Inbox' window shows 83 unread messages. 83 plus the 1 in Inbox make the
84 new messages that Mail Ticker is reporting.
