Why not open folder properties for relevant folders and select: Keep XX messages
in base. Then set up alternate deletion to move it to a local folder.

Dear all,
The way I have setup IMAP is to have all eMails in the account. This,
I am aware, is not the proper way of usage. What I want is to have,
let's say, 4 month of eMails read by IMAP.
Is this possible to restrict the amount of eMails permanently present
in the IMAP account?
