Result is the same. The dialog reports having removed almost 1500
duplicate messages, but none of them are actually removed.

Due to a situation where I had to switch mailserver for one and the same
account to my ISP and then back to my own server I ended up with a
rather large number of duplicate messages.
I figured that would not be a problem, as I could easily 'zap' them with
