1) Right-click in the body of this message to get the context menu.
2) Be sure that "Use Plain Text Viewer" is not checked.
Be sure that "Smileys" box *is* checked.
3) If that doesn't enable Smilies viewing, go to your directory, The
BAT!/Images and be sure that you have 3 folders and 3 .msl files there
(that's if you use Rogues--otherwise, 2 folders and 2 .msl files).
Then,
a) Check that there are images in the Default and pcwimages
folders; additionally, be sure that neither folder has
subfolders. There should be no subfolders in Default,
no subfolders in pcwimages.
b) Check that there are text lines in default.msl and
pcwsmileys.msl.

on with you.
