v2.01, 'Read' filters do not work
Hello all Beta testers, I have just confirmed that my 'Read' filters have not worked automatically since version 2.00.06. The reason for the delay is mainly that I do not apply these filters very often. For example, in the TBbeta users forum I delete the majority of messages when I have read them, and the read filter is supposed to move any messages to an archive if I flag them (the flagged requirement is set in the advanced section of the filter). The filter then should operate as soon as the focus moves to another message, but this ceased with the advent of version 2.01.xx, I now have to use the Folder/Refilter command to make the filter operate. I have just tried a number of versions, working back to 2.00.06, and as soon as I get back to that the filters operate correctly. Can anyone confirm this behaviour before I submit a bug report? -- Best regards, Roger Using The Bat! v2.01.26 on Windows ME, v4.90 Build 3000 Current beta is 2.01.26 | Using TBBETA information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html
Errors when creating shortcuts
Hi all, Is it possible to create a shortcut for a menu item for which a shortcut has not already been defined? I'm yet to actually use this Edit Shortcut feature. I *always* end up with the popup message 'Sorry we have some errors'. I guess I'll just use PowerPro. -- -= allie_M =- | List Moderator PGPKeys: http://www.ac-martin.com/pgpkeys.html Using TB! v2.01.26 on WinXP Pro (SP1) pgp0.pgp Description: PGP signature Current beta is 2.01.26 | Using TBBETA information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html

Hello Allie, A reminder of what Allie Martin typed on: 14 November 2003 at 06:23:20 GMT -0500 AM I guess I'll just use PowerPro. There's that word again! And I still haven't had time to reinstall it and have a play. I have a pretty little picture saved on my HD of the settings for when I do :) (And this is another message that won't send unless I save it as draft first. Re[2]: v2.01, 'Read' filters do not work
Hello MAU, Friday, November 14, 2003, 11:50:14 AM, you wrote, among other things: R The filter then should operate as soon as the focus moves to another Rmessage, but this ceased with the advent of version 2.01.xx, I now have Rto use the Folder/Refilter command to make the filter operate. M As you can see I am using v2.01.03, and I use Read filter (over 20) much M in the same way as you do and they all work flawlessly. M In case it helps, I do manually mark my message as Read with the Space M bar (I changed the shortcut). After reading the last paragraph of your reply I made some more experiments and it seems that if the 'mark as read' process takes place last then it immediately triggers the 'read' filter (in my case only if the message is flagged), without even having to move the focus. I had my account set so that the message was marked as read when opened in another window, and this occurred before flagging etc. The filter did however work like this back in version 2.00.xx I've now changed to your manual flagging with a key shortcut. -- Best regards, Roger Using The Bat! v2.01.26 on Windows ME, v4.90 Build 3000 Current beta is 2.01.26 | Using TBBETA information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html
IMAP, and message list updates
Hi, I've noticed a real annoyance relating to the message cache. If I open TB, and then another mail client, modify the contents of one folder in the second client, whilst having the same folder selected in TB, TB does NOT refresh the message listing even if I tell if to refresh the folder, navigate away from the folder, and reselect, purge the folder, or tell it to refresh from the folder menu. The only way I can seem to get it to do it is to clear the cache, which can be quite a nasty option, especially on a folder with 25k emails in it with the synchronization set to headers only (or even worse, full body). Ticker Subject column not decoding
Hi, I've just noticed an oddity. The message ticker's virtual folder doesn't seem to want to decode some subjects that are encoded slightly different, yet the message preview decodes it fine. For an example of what I mean: http://thebat.netdork.net/bad_decoding.jpg I have noticed however that the encoding for the email looks badly done because it still contains the : character which I thought should be encoded too (looks like he's modified the original code as I don't see that issue in my version of SquirrelMail but hey). -- Jonathan Angliss ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) Sir!
