You must count fixes included in 4.0.0.1 and 3.99.30 branches and other
more than 30 fixes and improvements not included in BT ;-)

Here is the list of bugfixes so far:

[-] 0006520: Installation did not create associated pics for the 2 icons
[-] The window to select a new name attribute in S/MIME (X.509) generation
dialog was not centered on the screen; it was placed in the top left corner of
the screen instead;
[-] The window to select attributes when creating a certificate request
(PKCS#10) had bad design; editing of the attributes was not logical.
[-] The AutoCheck and CheckOnActivate parameters of the /ADD command line
option did only support true and false arguments. Now they also support the
following aliases for true: 1, on, yes, checked; for false: -1, 0, off, no.
[-] The attachment panel could become invisible in the message editor; if you
attach a file, there were an impression that it was not attached at all, until
you save the message to outbox. In the outbox, the attached files became
visible to the user.
[-] The Bat! didn't display the contents of the Certificate Policies extension
[-] Authority Key Identifier certificate extension was not displayed in the
list of certificate properties.
[-] The contents of the CRL Distribution Points certificate extension was not
displayed in the list of certificate properties.
[-] Zahid didn't compile
[-] The option When a password-protected account is being checked... in the
account properties was available even in modes which didn't have an account
password, e.g. The Bat! Professional with On-The-Fly encryption.
[*] The button Lists in the Submission Forms entry of The Bat! Preferences
(Options|Preferences) is only available when The Bat! is started with
/EDIT_SUBMISSION_FORMS command line option.
[-] Private Key Usage Period was not displayed correctly in the certificate
properties window.
[*] The Bat! now gives a statement regarding limits on the value of
transactions, if such an attribute presents in a qualified certificate.
[*] The Bat! can now display Registration Authorities in the Qualified
Certificate Statements extension, as discussed in Section 3.2.6.1 of rfc3739.
[*] The Bat! now displays unknown key purposes in the Extended Key Usage
certificate extension.
[-] When the Edit Address Entry window was modal, it had a separate entry in
the task bar that caused problems selecting the first (main The Bat!) entry in
the task bar. This selection was not possible, The Bat! was blocked by the
Edit Address Entry window.
[-] Some certificate properties weren't localized
[*] When a certificate had an extension that The Bat! could not recognize, and
this extension was marked as critical, The Bat! it didn't load such a
certificate. Now The Bat! load such certificates and allows viewing them,
marking them invalid though. On such certificates, The Bat! displays This
certificate has a critical extension that is not recognized
[*] The Bat! now understands the role name attribute in X.509 certificates
(see RFC-3281)
[-] (#0006532) S/MIME decryption has caused access violations in 3.99.29
[-] If a certificate had expiration date after, 2038, it has not been displayed
when viewing the properties of the certificate.
[-] When adding e-mail addresses from the address book to the outgoing message
using Pick e-mail addresses dialog, and the addressee name did contain the
quotation mark characters, these character were preceded by back-slashes. Now
the quotation mark and other non-RFC characters are removed from the
addressee names.
[-] The opportunity to cure infected messages using anti-virus plugins didn't
work
[*] When a message is signed or encrypted by S/MIME or PGP or has a PGP key
attached, a security button appears in the left top corner of the message text
header. This button has a pop-up menu that explicitly shows the list of
security actions available on this message (e.g. decrypt, show signature
details, import certificate, etc). The most important action is marked by the
bold font style. If you click the left mouse key on this security button, this
important action is executed. If the message has more than one important
action, the left mouse key then invokes the pop-up menu to give the user
choice: which of the important actions to perform.
[*] If a message has several PGP keys, the pop-up menu for the security button
did contain several _Import PGP key_ items, and the user might have an
impression that The Bat! did create duplicate pop-up items , because of a bug.
In fact, each of these items did relate to a respective PGP key. Now The Bat!
uses explicit numbering _Import PGP key 1_, _Import PGP key 2_, to show that
these items will import the appropriate key.
[-] Attaching files and other file open and file save dialogs didn't work under
Windows 95/98/ME.
[-] The Bat! didn't start if the registry was write-protected and it was not
associated
