Ribbons are the bane of UI. Don't do it or at least make them switchable to a
classical UI.
Even with time to adapt to ribbons they ALWAYS are slower in achieving any
given task. I see that with my customers every day - and with myself as well.

I think that in 2019 blocking subset of FB domains sounds like a
reasonable idea... After spending some minutes solving Google captchas
in Tor Browser, I don't have any particular feelings about the new
interface.

Hope that text under icons can be hidden and duplicated toolbars are
bug, not a deliberate design choice (screenshot attached).

My main concern is this:

> "developers also mentioned that the PGP internal implementation will
> be removed"

For myself, functional PGP/GPG is absolutely crucial. If multitude of
present GPG-related bugs are not eventually fixed in v9, I would need
to either switch back to Claws or move to Thunderbird/Enigmail combo.
Both are free applications by the way.

This would be unfortunate as I have recently purchased TheBat! license
and would like to continue using it.

Maxim,

I don't like ribbons either. But maybe that is the old guy, resistant to
change view. Ribbons don't seem
to be going away. Anyway, I don't think putting all functions in a toolbar is
a good idea. Too much to
search through for the function I am looking for. Is there a way of
grouping/organizing that makes the location of
a function obvious while not hidden in a multitude of other functions I almost
never use?

On the other hand, I have spent much time searching the old tool bar designer
for functions I need, like
Open Reply. Where could it be hidden, I wonder?

Ribbon or not, making things easy to find is the problem to solve.

It's not so easy. I would have to try them to say whether I like them.

Maybe best to just hide the "automatically generated" and allow the
continued use of the good old menu.

And my my would GPG support working again be a treat! Your old
internal PGP support is what brought me to your product in the

We will not keep the internal implementation any of PGP longer. We will only
keep the GnuPG integration. The Internal Implementation was based on RFC-1991,
which use MD5, IDEA and RSA algorithms. Although IDEA (International Data
Encryption Algorithm) and RSA are still considered secure, MD5 is not. That's
why we have decided to drop internal RFC-1991 implementation in favour of GnuPG.

Essentially, what will be changed is replaced the TBX/SPTBX/TB2K libraries with

What DevExpress library provides is ribbons, but it also provides the usual

The ribbons what you saw are automatically generated from the same resources as
