Acknowledged.

I don't use this, but on my home computer I cannot get view modes to work at
all
and with the same settings at work the view mode works .

I have not seen this.

Yes this is my report and as it says re-filtering only sort of works sometimes.
I
have been going back and forth in between versions to use filtering when I need
it.

For my settings for my Gmail IMAP account, I just have used the
subscription window to select the folders I wish to view. I don't
touch any synchronization settings - and all folders are synchronized
when I select any.

I cannot confirm that here.

I have noticed that the TBBeta messagess are not automatically moved
into their subfolder of the inbox with Gmail IMAP.

Nope it doesn't. Not even manual re-filtering (when doing so without downloading
message).

This is enough to go back to the 4.x series for me. Yes, I could use server side
filtering, but this cannot apply colour groups, etc.

IMAP issues/status in 102

2010-11-15 Thread Peter Fjelsten
Hello Bat Beta,

I have the following issues which makes TB problematic for me at the moment (if
anyone has reported these, please send a link to BT):

Sync settings do not seem to work: Although I set "full synchonization",
  messages aren't.

Connection Centre does not give any meaningful information for IMAP.

Options>Preferences>Message List: "Limit expansion to..." does not work.

When I open Mange IMAP folders, new folders that I have not created come
  out of nowhere.

IMAP auto filtering apparently still does not work - at least looking at
the (lack of) progress on this:
  https://www.ritlabs.com/bt/view.php?id=8123.

OK. It was just that Max on the alpha list at some stage said that this would
not be changed (making IMAP unusable for me) until after public release.

But since this message seems to indicate otherwise, back to alpha/beta testing
:-)

This is required only if The Bat! is set as the default e-mail client, but MAPI

No, it doesn't - that change was made specifically to avoid blocking
while (auto)saving to IMAP servers. Besides, saving into local folders
now produces slightly shorter delays as well...

There's a cosmetic problem with hints: they fade in (and fade out)
