TB! AutoBackup Issue (Can't turn it off)
Hi, I have a problem with an AutoBackup feature in TB!. Couple month ago I have uninstalled TB! according to RitLab notes in uninstaller and I installed new version over it and imported TBK. Somehow current version of TB! is still doing autobackup everyday despite that AutoBackup option is not checked in Preferences of currently installed client. As my TBK file is 5GB if I forget about leaving over 5GB free on that partition after scheduling other tasks ; if TB! AutoBackup kicks in I'm running out of space for other scheduled tasks. Any idea how to get it corrected? Obviously marking off AutoBackup in preferences nor changing it's kick in time to a week or something is not working... BTW, I still think that if a user chooses to uninstall the software all information from registry concerning the client should be removed as well while uninstalling. As far as I know it's not RitLab's approach and they are not cleaned but left there same as TBN and TBB files on the HDD. -- Best Regards, RS (FEDARA) The Bat! 5.0.36.2 Windows 7 x64 Professional (7601 Service Pack 1) Sunday, April 22, 2012 (13:42 ; GMT+8) Current beta is 5.1.0.3 | 'Using TBBETA' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html

Ok, I installed IMAPsize - looks good. I have renamed a whole tree with ease. But the refresh is very bad. I required a long time to read the folder structure (1228 folders). But when I place the cursor on a folder to see the content I have to hit enter "to get the messages" in a separate move. That is cumbersome and with 1228 folders not very time consuming. Is there a simpler way having folder and messages in folders read all at once? Will do now a local save test ... -- best regards | Using The Bat! 5.0.36.5 (BETA) Eddie | on Windows 7 6.1 | Build 7601 Service Pack 1 Current beta is 5.1.0.3 | 'Using TBBETA' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html

Thanks Tony. Would it be for myself I would decide for either one. Ver personally I am used to POP but lately I am testing IMAP and I also like it and see it's advantage. But in that particular case it's the computer of a client. He has two computer for himself (Homeoffice and personal) and at his office. Four years ago he had his eMail with Outlook and distributed on three Computers. I had a big deal convincing him to not only drop having his eMail on three computers permanently stored but to also use a eMail client with "brain". What is our logic for him? On Notebook will have all his eMails locally stored and accessed under POP. all other will access the account using IMAP. This is to ensure that he does not have several eMail bases on differetn places.
