My last version was 8:0.18.1 32 bit.

I really like the fix on the mailsploit in version 8.0.18.2.  However, everything I send an HTML message with a picture in the body of the message, it fails.

As described in more detail in my post, I could reproduce it. The crucial
part is that there are actual images embedded in the editor text. Then
TheBat! tries to save numbered images in the program folder for me. If replying
to
a HTML image, the images for that message had to be loaded. With non-loaded
images it went through.

Just happened to me again - someone I was replying to had an image in their
signature - error. I deleted that image in the editor - message sent.

I am using the x32 flavor.

Hello Dimitar,

We have always made The Bat! in such a way that you may not run older versions
over the message base files or configuration files or address book made by
newer versions. We discourage this practice, and you will not be able to do any
rebuild or otherwise make both versions work at the same time with the same
data.

Dear Maxim,

I received email with TB 8.0.18.2, then exited TB and opened TB 7 on
the same message base. The message list shows this message without
sender and recipient (columns From and To are empty). This does not
change when I move the message to another folder.
Opening the same base again with TB 8, shows correct (populated)
columns From and To.

The message preview panel shows correct From and To headers.

Is the "index re-building" not working in TB 7 or is there a manual
way to invoke it?

Best regards,
 Dimitar mailto:dito...@gmail.com

In that situation, NO shortcuts worked. Including ones like F2 or Alt-F2.
The reason was the other edit window with the HTML message, still having the
error notification open.
It seems like an open notification in another TheBat! window - even though
no modal for the entire program and not immediately recognizable as a
problem, eats/blocks key shortcuts for the entire TheBat! instance.

Is that something that can be fixed?

I can confirm this:
  - take an HTML message with images loaded (this seems crucial!)
  - hit reply
  - hit send: Cannot create file "C:\Program Files (x86)\The Bat!\1.jpg".
Zugriff verweigert

When the images are not loaded, the reply will be sent OK.

@Max - I have noticed two glitches while testing that:

#1
I used a newsletter from "Deutsches Museum" as source message for that test. Not
wanting to actually send a message to them, I changed the recipient in the
edit window.
Still - when the send error occurs, the notification window is titled
"Editace zprávy -> Deutsches Museum " -
that is the original recipient
It seems like TheBat! doesn't update the recipient data in some internal
structures that were created when initiating the edit window.

#2
When I change back to the main window while this edit window is open (will
send a followup if it changes after
this message has been sent), certain Ctrl+Key shortcuts don't work:
- Ctrl+N in message list for a new message
and
- Ctrl+Enter to subsequently send that message
have no effect.
Update: Ctrl+Enter has no effect in this very window either :)
