Thanks, but it was 10.2 that I did not receive a notice for.  I do have
10.1.0.5.

All the files downloaded from internet are marked as dangerous. You need to
unlock the file (right click / properties / uncheck the locked checkbox) ...

Thanks for the practical workaround. However, this is the beta list in which we
report bugs so that they can be fixed.

Do you mean Windows Defender? I use avast! instead. Maybe avast! blocked it...

No this does not happen often, but hey, this is the internet. In addition, I am
using Windows.

I expect the pop-up to show again tomorrow morning and will try again.

I haven't even 10.2 seen here, so no download / install either.

(Always download from outside programs, to decide later when I will update).

I don't use the update feature in The Bat.

Instead, I have found if you go to the Rit Labs website and download the
update, that works.

I have noticed that Windows flags the msi file as a risk.  I have to force
acceptance of the file in order to run it for the update.

Hello Thomas,

Note: I did not see any announcement on this list about 10.2.1.

10.2.1  is a hotfix update to 10.2

Most probably, you have a connection error - do they happen often in other apps? I guess we were too optimistic about those simple tasks, so more work error reporting needs to be done.

Please try to redownload the update.
