Re: Excruciatingly slow
Hello Peter, Interesting. I'm running production 2.01.3 and am experiencing exactly the same slowness as you and others are. And, yes, it happened all of a sudden about 3-4 days ago. I also note: 1. There is a considerable delay after clicking on the Send icon before the Connection Centre appears. CPU utilization for TheBat! jumps to the 80% range immediately, remaining there until the message has been sent. 2. Deleting a message containing an attachment also experiences a significant delay. 3. When compressing, each folder within an account that requires compression experiences a significant delay (~45 second) before initiating (as shown by the progress bar). There is no anti-virus running on the machine (removed McAfee completely) and no plugins running in TheBat! (removed BayesIt completely). When I first installed BayesIt, there was no slowdown; ran with it for about 2 weeks before the problem started; then uninstalled it with no improvement. POP3 and SMTP servers have been eliminated as a source of the problems, since a pre-2.x version of TheBat running on another machine on our network is just as fast and snappy as always. Has anyone reported this to Bug Track? -- Best regards, Curt Wednesday, December 3, 2003, 2:58:42 PM, you wrote: PF> Hello beta testers. PF> My TB is suddenly excruciatingly slow. Re: 7.4.16.17
Hello Maxim, More insight, as I remember: Several deletions would take place with no issue. After 2, 3, 4 deletions, TheBat! would hang.
