Anti-spam sniper

2020-09-29 Thread Stuart Cuddy
Hello Tbbeta,

Just realized that my icons for Anti-APam Sniper now longer show up on the
toolbar or on the list of toolbars.
Anyone else, or is it just here?

Thankyou for that. I thought that maybe because I could not see unread messages
on the takbar icon that it would correspond with no Unread messages in the Mail
ticker, but that does not seem to be the case as I still have nothing on the
taskbar, but do on the mail ticker.

Further to this. I do not normally use the Mail Ticker for messages, but when I
try to set it up I do not see any new messages in the ticker. Is there some
place to the the ticker which accounts to look at?

The pop up of hypertext links in HTML mail seems to be working better, but
still
inconsistent. The font seems to change for each link although that may be based
on the underlying code. It would be nicer to use a basic non serif font.

Also it is not consistent in how it comes up on the screen. Sometimes showing
up
partially off screen.

I have an issue with copying from and HTML message.

Copy a piece of text from an HTML message. Try to paste it into another

If I select the same text and use it to create a reply I can then copy and
paste

> Actually I don't believe that any of the pictures are downloading at all.

OK, I think I just solved the problem. By default in the last version of TB! I
had set the HTML viewer to The Bat Internal Viewer. It seems to save that
setting so when you go into the new version, the internal version was
displaying
and there were no pictures downloading. And there is no way in the new version
to change to the External viewer.
I went back into the old version and made the change to the external viewer and
now it is used in the new version by default.

Yes, however, my preference would be that messages by default open with The Bat
viewer, unless it is from a trusted source. Currently that is the way I operate,
but it would be nice if I could automatically have selected trusted sources open
with the new viewer so I don't have to switch on every second message. Some
messages are unreadable unless you use non-internal viewer.

Further to this, I went into the Customize/Options and selected small icons in
the lower
section. When I did this the display on the bottom status bar is now correct.
The confusing part is that the icons on the menu bar remain large. I guess this
is because at the top of the customizer I have selected use Large icons
instead
of small. At the very least I think the headings in these section needs to be
changed.

In Windows 10 try right clicking on the task bar then select taskbar settings
right at the bottom. It brings up a large window that has the selection
"Combine
Taskbar Buttons". I only have 2 choices "Never" and "When taskbar is full". I

Did you try to unlock the toolbars and then drag the icons to the right and
down. This is how it showed up when the first version of 9 came out and the
first thing I did was drag it the other way.

I used to be able to have the Quick Search hidden until needed. Now if I close
the quick search "Workspace/Toolbars/Quick Search" and then type something
while
focused on the message list I receive and AV.

Also once I start typing in the quick search box I used to be able to clear the
box by pushing Esc. That no longer works. A second push on Esc used to make the
Quick Search box disappear.

I cannot get this version to work properly. I used to be able to use the 32 bit
version, but it now just gives me and Access Violation on start. I did manage
to
get the 64 bit version to run after renaming tbuser.def, however it AV'd on
exit
and will not start again.

Update: I noticed that TB now creates a file userdef.xml when starting the 32
bit. I deleted that file and then tried the 64 bit and it did start. However it
still AV's on exit and then won't start up again.

Who has AV with sending new email - please rename 'tbuser.def' to any other name and restart the application.
Also if it possible to send us 'tbuser.def' to (contact email is : andrei.sliusarenco at  ritlabs.com). It will help us for find the root cause.

I have renamed my tbuser.def and I have reopened TB. It seems to let me send now. I have uploaded my tbuser.def to bug tracker Id 1814.
