Re[2]: IMAP Fine Tune?

2005-05-25 Thread Gleason Pace
Tony,

Compress in TB! is Expunge in Mulberry. That should do as explanation. ;)
TB! deletes all messages which are marked as deleted, when you switch to
 another folder.

Well it's not working, AT ALL! This is one of THE MAIN reasons I have
absolutely no confidence whatsoever in TB's IMAP ability. I delete
messages, scoot about to all different folders, shut TB down, open it,
scoot about a bit more and when I choose Browse deleted messages They
are all still there! And when I open Mulberry all the mail I deleted and
supposedly compressed with TB is still there, exactly where I didn't think
  I'd left it.

Not confirmed. When I open Mulberry, I do not see deleted messages
waiting to be expunged. Mulberry agrees with TB as to what folder
contents are.

That's not how it happens here. I've gone back to a folder an hour after
switching and still been able to browse deleted messages.

That's really strange and not good. Does manually Compress + Purge
(right-click on folder) help?

Yes it does. But that's what the check box is for, to automate that
process, to delete them as soon as you close or switch a folder.

That's how I'd like it to work anyway.

Yeah, you're fully right. That *has* to work. I just checked in with TB!
and deleted, moved and copied - everything is deleted in the way it should.

Strange, isn't it?!

So mine should delete them twice as fast :)
