I have noticed one exception that I couldn't reproduce, but the exceptions
seem to describe a possible issue vector...

I tried to attach a file via drag and drop to the headers area of a message
editor. I got an exception. Tried again, same result.
When I opened the file the "standard way" - Attachment button, choose file,
I could attach it.

The file was open in Adobe Reader the whole time - and the initial
complaint from each of the exceptions is that the file was locked.

The file was still open in the reader tjough. Even in a subsequent new
message editor, Drag-and-dropping succeeded with file still open there.

Are there circumstances where someone is trying to open such a file for
writing (possibily unnecessarily) and doesn;t handle the exception arising
from it?

Could you please check it / tell me whether it's a good topic for a
bugtracker issue?

The exceptions follow - it'sd always a FOpenException followed by one

After upgrading to 9.0.8, the drop-list of favorite addresses
that should appear when I use the drop arrow beside the "Create
a new message" button on the toolbar was empty, except for the
words "Quick Templates" (see the attached screen capture of the
list.)

I decided to give 9.0.8.2 a try and now the drop list of favorite
addresses contains my ENTIRE ADDRESS BOOK, including group names
and things like "All Items" which doesn't appear anywhere in my
address book.

I hope this can be corrected soon as I use this feature more than
almost anything else!

I think he does, I have added a note with two screen captures that may
help understand the problem.

I have closed it as duplicate of https://bt.ritlabs.com/view.php?id=1884, but
took all the data from it.

Hello Maxim,

Strange thing happened with the install of 9.0.8 MSI. The files all
ended up in the Desktop, and all the existing install files in
/Program Files/TheBat are gone. No thing left in that directory; all
files moved to Desktop. Trying to figure out how to recover.

Also, spell checker quit.
