Filter string

2002-06-11 Thread Adam

Hello tbbeta,

If I have a filter, and string set for presence Yes, then that is a
requirement for any message to satisfy, regardless of any other
setting, is that correct?

Adam,

If I understand your meaning, then Yes. The string set (the content
for which the program will search) and the presence condition (whether
the trigger is the presence or the absence of the string set) together
form what is sometimes called a rule. There can also be alternative
rules in the same filter, which can be thought of as one collective
rule. Some rules are under the rule tab, such as the presence of
string sets. Other rules are under the advanced tab.

Then there is an action. Some actions are actually set on the rule
tab, e.g., Move message to folder X. Other actions are on the
action tab.

(Rule + action) = filter.
