This is exactly the problem - the logic of the "download manually" option changed to "never download". So, this can be called a "bug" and must be reworked so the meaning of the option is clear. In fact, the "explicitly allowed" option now works as manual download mode, just with added rules. -- Best regards, Stefan Tanurkov 'Using TBBETA' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html

Please check Tools / Image Download Manager / Rules / Download Mode. Here it is set to Explicitely Allowed. I just tried for the fun of it to set it to Manually, and then the Image Download Manager disappered from the email header. By the way, I don't think it should disappear. If the user choosen to manually download, he should be given the botton to do that. -- Cheers, Thomas. Message reply created with The Bat! How to manually trigger external image download?
Hi, since the update (which uses the chromium engine for HTML emails) I no longer see a button to just download external images fro the current mail. I do not want to create a rule in many cases, sometimes I just want to load images for the current mail. This button used to be on the right side of the area where From, To, Subject and similar header information was displayed. Also, the red-white-checkered placeholder for unloaded images looks extremely weird, especially when the image is used as a background since it gets blurred a lot.
