Radical slowdown when downloading external images

Hello, when TB downloads external messages, there is radical slowdown and TB almost stops working until they are downloaded, many users reported it and I can confirm too. I have increased number of connections, but it did not helped. Any idea how to solve this if any? -- Thanks and Bye,
