Hi Folks,
Similar problems here!!!
I foolishly omitted to read many of the last threads on the compatibility
between alpha and released versions.
I have many thousands of EMails in many folders and have lost several (yet
again!) when I restored from an earlier backup! However this is really my own
fault as I should be paying more attention to the forum messages which are all
very helpful.

More serious in my experience is the lack of "sync" features between The Bat
and Voyager. Attempts to keep my Voyager memory stick and my PC's The Bat are
frustrating to say the least.

An automated sync feature would make the combination of The Bat & Voyager a
significant contribution to the market place.

Attempts to synchronise manually sometimes works but mostly results in damaged
folders in the Voyager message base. This can be worked round, recovering files
etc, but I don't want to spend hours repairing message bases on a released
product!!!

I really like The Bat & Voyager - but after running Portable Thunderbird for
one whole month with no faults whatsoever I am tempted to abandon the Bat after
5 years. I have lost 56 folders in my Voyager message base during the same time
period running Voyager and Portable Thunderbird in parallel. (Same message
base, same Incoming Emails, same memory stick)

Yes, Voyager has many many more features - but should we not have better
reliability and recovery tools in the VERY BASIC features of the product
(integrity of the message base)

Please accept this as positive criticism - I really do wish you well developing
an improved product.

Best regards,
Hamish
