No, it is not disabled. It is just that the quick search window is not
permanently viewed. But, like MaXxX says, if you start

You can do something functionally the same now. Not with icons, but with
the text (folder name) and its background. Please take a look at colour
groups.

Why not just use a different colour for the folder name as an
indicator?
