Just an idea: You can try starting The Bat with the parameter
/STARTUP_TIMING_LOG. It logs the startup process step by step and
writes the timing

The spell checker is still broken in .43 as per below. The correct language was
already selected upon reverting to .36 and the spell checker worked right away.
