Good point.

Is there a way to "mass delete" old tasks instead of having to do them one at a 
time?

I think the problem comes from scheduler. I noticed that it opens very
slowly and there are thousands of tasks listed, back from 2009. I am not
sure if they were there in the previous version, but for sure the
scheduler opened very quickly in 7.4.16. As I can only delete tasks
one by one, it will take some time to clear them.

I have only 3 recurring tasks and as soon as I try to "execute now", I
get the exception.

That means you have a mail:
To:

If the list "listcustomers" is lost in addressbook, The Bat! may use
the content of X-TB-To-List in To: mail field.

That option was never in TB! And I using it from the 1.x versions ;-)

I'm  sorry,  but you should create a new IMAP account. If you want to 
move  the  previously  downloaded messages you can move they from the 
POP3 account to the IMAP one.

Only the program files. Some dirs were nit removed (antispam sniper among 
them), as well as manually copied thebat exes (I kept older versions). My mail 
folder is not inside the program folder and it was left intact.

I just went to change an existing POP account to IMAP and there 
doesn't seem to be a way to change that in the Properties box.

Is it missing or should I be changing that in another way?

Please try to run it with /NOLOGO parameter to disable the splash screen. Will 
it start this way? Maybe it is the splash screen that is prevening it from 
running?

Please also add /STARTUP_TIMING_LOG parameter to write extended information to 
ex_log.txt. There are two of these files: one in the %APPDATA% and another in 
%APPDATA%\The Bat! (also known as the %EMAIL% folder).

So we will be able to see at which place exactly it hangs.

Do you have software running in the background that lock cliipboard? Please 
try, as an experiment, exit all applications and tray-application and have just 
plain Windows and then run The Bat!

After another start, this version gave me the attached "errory" message and
forgot the antispam (not actually AV as the message suggested) plugin 
configuration.

Back to this Alpha (7.4.1633), the last "version" that works for me. 

All the rest hangs every time I try to start it, except for an occasional case where I am able to open it.

Seems I am stuck with this one and will have to chose to stick to this or find an alternative solution...
