Re: 8.3.0.23
Hello Gleason, We are now working to implement SNI for TLS (Server Name Indication) - see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Server_Name_Indication or https://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc6066#page-6 After that, we will work on TLS 1.2. -- Best regards, Maxim Masiutin Current beta is 8.3.0.23 | 'Using TBBETA' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html

The Bat! detects the appropriate bit in the CPUid and if this bit is set, it will use these accelerating instructions, regardless of the manufacturer of the CPU. I like these instructions very much. Please note that The Bat! currently supports these instructions only for 64-bit version, and only for SHA-1, SHA-224 and SHA-256. We currently didn't manage to add support for 32-bit or for SHA-384 or SHA-512. -- Best regards, Maxim Masiutin Current beta is 8.3.0.23 | 'Using TBBETA' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html

You can call The Bat! with /SHA256_BENCHMARK command line parameter > to figure out whether you CPU supports the extension and what is real gain > from using the extensions. Benchmark took some time (during which TheBat! wasn't visible) and eventually delivered values (+ reported no support in my not-very-shiny-new-anymore CPU :( ) -- Best regards, Viktor Kabelacmailto:tbbeta-l...@kabelac.cz Current beta is 8.3.0.23 | 'Using TBBETA' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html
