RT  I am sure there must have been similar statements made regarding v3.
RT  I remember it was supposed to finally fix IMAP once and for all :)

There may have been statements. I don't care any more, because I don't
use IMAP and I'm not planning to. The idea itself is not suitable to
my needs.
