What  I did was attempt to view a post which I was never able to view 
before, because it crashed TB! This time, the message opened, and TB! 
did not crash.

 Hadn't been able to localize to a particular file until added new  
 gmail account with limited number of messages. Know which message it
 is, and can reproduce. Can forward message for study.

I get this too in IMAP. Have you tried clearing the cache?

no. but I just reproduced it on another machine, so it's the message,
