Thanks. But now the problem is that the mail is not been sent at
all. It resides in Account Name -> Outbox and the status is that the
mail is in queue.

Any clues?

Regards,
Shantanu

Select the account, go to Account, Properties, "Mail Management",
check the "Sent" box, and in the drop down list, select the folder you
want to use.

Well, this still does not solve the issue of how I can save my sent
mails in that folder? I mean I can make a folder now (thanks to you)
on the server but how do I save my sent mails on the server in the
folder I created now?

Interesting, how about right clicking on INBOX, and clicking "New
Folder", and select "Folder", see if that produces the same results.

How do I do that? I tried the same way except while creating a
folder I asked it to be created as "sub-folder of INBOX"
But I got an error now which says,
Could not create the mailbox named INBOX.

Any clues on these strange errors?

You have to create it under the INBOX folder. Courier-IMAP doesn't
allow folders to be level with INBOX unless it is #shared, which the
administrator has to setup.

using The Bat with IMAP

2004-03-22 Thread shantanu
Hello friends,
I have an IMAP account with my ISP who are using Courier-IMAP. Now,
I want to save all mails I send in a (say Sent) folder on my ISP's
server. How do I do it exactly?
When I go to Manage IMAP folders --> Create IMAP folder --> New -->
Create at root level and type Sent, I get
Cannot create folder by name Sent.
Invalid Mailbox name

I am looking for clues on this.

Cheers,
Shantanu
