Can't get mail

I'm having a problem getting mail today. It's weird. When I click Dispatch mail, the window appears, but just stays there. When I click Get Mail, the connection centre appears, it says: Status: Checking INBOX And just stays like that indefinitely. Elapsed says 00:01 and doesn't change.

Hello tbudl'ers, Further to my post on the TWEAK, please, if you try this, take the ORIGINAL copy of the unmodified executable [thebat.exe] and rename it to [thebat_orig.exe] so that you have a working original to go back to. The modified file (X-Mailer changed) needs to be called [thebat.exe]
