.EML associations don't remain sticky

Fellow Bat! Fans. Every time I start Bat! I am asked if I want Bat! associated with .EML files, which I accept. This choice is also ticked in Options /Preferences, and I have constantly clicked the Associate Now button. How do I overcome this small annoyance? -- Regards, John Phillips Sydney,
