View Mode - remember / autoexpand groups

Hi all, I am using grouping by date in a view mode and on closing TB it forgets which groups are open. Is there anyway to set a view mode so all groups are open? Or an option for TB to remember which groups are open? I note that the expand all threads option does this as a by product, but
