Hello, everyone!

Has anyone who receives TBUDL in digest format ever had
any problems with truncated (i.e., incomplete) digests?

As you can tell, I am trying to catch up on my reading
of TBUDL, which I receive in digest format, and I have
much "catching up" to do! :-)

The entire content of Volume 192, Issue 17 (7 November 2004)
is as follows (for me):

Content-Type: multipart/mixed; boundary="===============0948124342=="

 Content-Type: text/plain; charset="us-ascii"
Content-Description: TBUDL Digest, Vol 192, Issue 17
Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit
MIME-Version: 1.0

None of the usual text that ends each digest is present. As I say, the text in above is the *entire* digest that I received.

If no one else receiving TBUDL in digest format has ever
had this problem, then I will assume that the problem is
with Hotmail.com.

I should be subscribing to TBUDL using The Bat! anyway,
but my evaluation period has expired and RITLabs was
kind enough to extent the evaluation period for ten more
days. (I just had to let The Bat! automatically send a
request to RITLabs, although there is no such message in
my sent items folder.) RITLabs may offer no support to
its users, but the company wants to give you every chance
to buy its software, apparently. ;-) I mean no disrespect
to RITLabs, but I see a certain irony with this type of
discrepancy (extended evaluations versus lack of support).

I have got to reinstall Windows XP Professional and do so
soon, because I know that the operation system is corrupted
(and a hot fix that Microsoft sent me to solve the original
problem, which was very slow shutdowns, started causing
"real" problems besides slow shutdowns).

Because of the status of my OS, I have hesitated to let The
Bat! download too many messages, in case I have any problems
restoring from the backup of TB. (Of course, I am defeating
the purpose of the evaluation period, and I am also preventing
myself from finding out if Norton AntiVirus is going to start
causing problems with The Bat! after I have a substantial
number of e-mail messages and attachments. I may end up
registering The Bat!, only to have NAV wreck it.)

I apologize for rambling. I just wanted to know of corrupted
TBUDL digests were common. This one is the first truncated
digest that I have received.

Thank you very much, in advance!

Cordially,

David
