I have the same problem, and I think that I have reported it a couple
of times :(.
I usually just kill The Bat! and start it again, does not seem to have
done any damage to it.
But it would be nice to get rid of this problem ;)

Just a word of warning
If I have had a problem with my POP3 server the session that was
running in theBat hangs.
If I then try to close the program I get a Some tasks are now active
warning message with Do you want to exit when they are finished. The
three buttons Yes No Abort have no impact whatsoever.
