Hello, I seem to have likely a similar problem to you due to 1 TB drive
suddenly becoming inaccessible. Booted from the other one and after at least
a day had a bootable system back.I now find myself with movies back on the
system, books etc and programs BUT I cannot find a recognisable version

To check out an old hard disk, I connected it to my computer.
I found an old version of The Bat! in there and wondered what messages
I might have in that old hard disk.
So I opened that version of The Bat! thinking that it would show up
the old messages. Wrong move! It only showed up
