Since TB! does such I good job of searching through my emails I was
wondering if there is also a way to search through attachments.
I mainly receive Word/Excel and PDF attachments.
What I need is a mini local Google I guess.

Were they
Store your attachments externally, and use either Windows' Find
function, or get Zoot www.zootsoftware.com and search with its Agent
X.
I don't know if it will pick up PDF files, but I wouldn't assume it
would not; you'd have to test it.

I too had a similar need and found the solution at

It works very well with Word excel..have not had the need to test
