JS Alvira's - TB downloads the messages to a temporary folder first, but
JS your AV intercepts it there.

I found the culprit via the mail dispatcher. As it was on an account
that I don't use for PayPal, it was most certainly a PayPal spoofing
scam - the headers looked accordingly - that was intercepted by Avira
and therefore not downloaded. So The Bat! tried again and again to
download the message with the aforementioned results. Now I deleted it
from the server and I'm sure the alerts will stop - until the next
spoof arrives.

Thank you Jernej and MFPA for your help.

View modes

2010-02-17 Thread Robert Bull
Are view modes folder-specific? I ask because I keep missing e-mails
because they're buried deep in threads that have scrolled off screen.
So I want the default in personal e-mail folders to be by date,
unthreaded. Conversely, of course, it makes better sense to view
mailing lists by thread. Every time I change view mode TB! asks me
about keeping it when I exit, but I don't want to set a new global
view mode by accident. OK, I know there are hotkeys to quickly change
mode, but I'd just like to set defaults.

Moin, Robert!

Every time I change view mode TB! asks me about keeping it when I
exit, but I don't want to set a new global view mode by accident.

Try Options|Preferences…|Message List|View Modes:

→ When View Mode was changed → [x] Save

Cheers!

Hello Robert,
A reminder of what Robert Bull typed on:

RB Are view modes folder-specific?

Yes. You can set up different view modes and then assign them to your folders
as
you see fit. See Options/Preferences/Message List/View Modes . Create a new
view
mode and save it. For example I have one view mode for Incoming mail, one for
Sent mail and one for mailing lists. Once you have saved the view modes, you
can Right-click on a folder and select the Folder View mode you want to assign.
It is important to note that you need to set View/Global View Mode to None, or
it will over-ride all view modes.
