sending and receiving encrypted messages
Is it possible to selectively encrypt messages such that only certain messages that are sent out are encrypted? Will any attached files also be encrypted? I have a client concerned about privacy and would like to be able to send encrypted messages to the client with attachments. How does this work? Can I encrypt only messages to him without encrypting my entire data base? If I send him an encrypted message, how will he unencrypt the message? He does not use The Bat. Can he send encrypted messages to me through his own e-mail client using The Bat encryption technology? These questions may seem incredibly naive, but I really don't know how this works. The Help Topics facility talks in terms of having an encrypted database. But, all I want to do is to encrypt certain messages. Not all of them. If they were all encrypted, then anyone I sent messages to would have to have a key to read them, correct? -- Avi Using The Bat! I don't have that problem in TB! as I compose email in plaintext. In some other applications, I get around the problem by first pasting into something like Notepad, then copying from there and pasting into the application. -- Best regards MFPAmailto:2014-667rhzu3dc-lists-gro...@riseup.net Kleptomaniac: a person who helps himself because he can't help himself. unable to open help file from within The Bat
I cannot open the Help Topics file from within The Bat!I CAN open the file by clicking on the file, The_bat.chm, in Windows Explorer. But, why am I not able to do so anymore from within the The Bat?(I used to be able to do it, but probably haven't tried for quite some time.) -- Avi Avram Sacks using The Bat Pro ver. 6.0.0.28 on Win 7 Pro Current version is 6.1.8 | 'Using TBUDL' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html

Pasting text into The Bat
Hello Forums, When I paste text into TB it brings in the format from the document rather than inheriting the format of the document I am pasting into. Is there a setting I can change to alter this please. I have looked through the options but cannot see anything relevant. date on msg saved to windows folder
Hi, All, I occasionally copy inbox messages to client folders in Windows Explorer. However, the file date for the message (as shown in Windows Explorer, not within the message itself) then appears as the date that the message was saved to the folder, rather than the actual message date. Without changing the time and date on the computer clock, which I do not want to do, is it possible to copy a message into a folder such that the file name reflects the date and time that the message was created? If so, how can it be done? -- Avi Avram Sacks Using The Bat ver 6.0.0.28 on Win 7 Pro Current version is 6.1.8 | 'Using TBUDL' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html
